Our history
More than two decades of practice that begin in study, pass through the higher courts and arrive at a firm with two offices, without ever giving up the close relationship with the client.
The beginning
The history of Doering & Darcie was born of one attorney's commitment to the law as a lifelong calling. From graduation to the higher courts in Brasília, it was dedication to study and to each client's cause that laid the foundations of what would become the firm.
From that foundation the firm grew, taking on new practice areas, new professionals and a second office, always guided by the same values: judgement, discretion and closeness.
The first steps on the law school benches. The graduation gown marks the beginning of a life devoted to the practice of law and to the permanent study of the rules.
The building of a body of work and of a practice founded on careful reading. Preventive advice and litigation have walked together from the start.
The practice reaches Brasília: the Supreme Federal Court, the Federal Courts and the highest bodies. Strategic reading of the courts becomes a hallmark of the work.
The firm establishes itself in Rio Grande do Sul, broadening its practice areas and strengthening relationships that span generations of clients and families.
The firm takes on its present identity. A new office, exposed brick and open doors, brings the tradition of study together with the energy of a multidisciplinary team.
With offices in Porto Alegre and São Paulo and practice throughout Brazil, we carry on guiding sound decisions, with the same judgement, discretion and precision as ever.
Our manifesto
The best defence begins long before the conflict, in the care taken over each decision.
We believe that practising law is, above all, a relationship of trust. That is why we handle each case closely, with the rigour of those who study and the composure of those who listen.
Tradition is not attachment to the past: it is the continuity of a way of working that respects the client, the time each case needs and the seriousness of the law.
